During America Saves Week (April 6–10), we came together across our communities in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut to focus on something that impacts us all—building stronger financial futures. America Saves Week is a national initiative designed to help individuals take a step back, check in on their finances, and commit to meaningful savings goals. At Affinity, we were proud to bring this effort directly to our members through both digital and in-branch experiences.
Stronger Together: A Week of Action
Throughout the week, our branches came to life with conversations about saving, goal-setting, and financial wellbeing. Members were encouraged to take a simple but powerful step: commit to building an emergency savings—or a “rainy day” fund.
Each day focused on a different theme, from building a strong financial foundation to planning for the future—helping guide meaningful, real-life financial conversations.
Turning Intentions into Action
One of the most impactful parts of the week was our in-branch Savings Pledge initiative. Members across our communities committed to saving—some for the first time, others recommitting to goals they had been putting off. To make it even more engaging, members who completed a pledge were entered into a giveaway—adding a fun and rewarding element to taking control of their financial future.
