Affinity Federal Credit Union serves the mission of improving the financial wellbeing of our members and the communities we serve by meeting their unique needs. We have dedicated resources for member assistance and a commitment to helping our member businesses and organizations achieve their goals. From the local grocery store to the beauty salon, we know that strong local businesses are the bedrock of strong communities.
As a local credit union, Affinity aims to better the lives and improve the wellbeing of employees, members and beyond through an integrated approach to community engagement. Members have access to extensive financial education resources ranging from webinars on purchasing your first home and credit repair to in-person financial coaching from a team of certified wellbeing coaches1. Affinity team members are invited to take part in a joint day of service each year and play a pivotal role in identifying and leading community outreach efforts like food drives, backpack collections, prom dress events and more.
The Affinity Foundation serves the community at large, offering grants to organizations focused on economic empowerment, education, and healthcare. These pillars were identified and serve to help community members rise out of poverty and achieve long-term success. Our goal is to help build communities and a stronger, more stable economic future by empowering individuals with the financial tools and resources to thrive. We support programs that alleviate financial stress and pave the way for financial independence. Understanding that fundraising is often the lifeline of these organizations, the funding is a strategic investment in the community’s future. Each grant and scholarship is carefully allocated to ensure that every dollar contributes to ending the poverty cycle.
In addition to the work of the foundation, Affinity has a long-standing commitment to ensuring members have access to financial resources in times of need. From offering repayment management programs on loans and the member relief fund that can help members in dire financial situations with cash deposits, we are committed to being a resource for the community.
