Giving Since 2005

The Affinity Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable foundation established in 2005 to support charities in communities along the Affinity Federal Credit Union branch footprint. The Affinity Foundation is a separate, independent legal entity, incorporated in New Jersey and operated by Affinity Federal Credit Union employees.

The Affinity Foundation's mission is to provide our members and our communities with solutions to improve financial wellness, educational programs that enable self-sufficiency, and support that ensures access to essential healthcare services.

    • Financial Wellbeing- Programs that alleviate financial stress and help people thrive toward financial independence.
    • Education- Programs that empower people to reach their educational, employment and individual goals.
    • Healthcare- Programs that provide peace of mind for financially disadvantaged patients and their families.

Our Impact

Since 2005, the Affinity Foundation has donated over $1 million in grants to dozens of nonprofit organizations throughout our branch footprint. In 2020, our Foundation:
    • Donated $101,800 in grants across 27 charities to support programs for financial literacy, workforce readiness, life skills, and transitional housing programs
    • Provided four student members of Affinity with $2,500 scholarships
    • Celebrated Affinity’s Members of the Year with $500 donations to each charity of their choice
    • Donated emergency grants of $500 each to nine food banks throughout New Jersey, New York and Connecticut
