A Look Back at Member Appreciation Week 2023

November 29, 2023
To celebrate Affinity members, local branches hosted a week of wellbeing-focused events in November. The five days encompassed eight free events for members across six branch locations. The gatherings focused on the five pillars of wellbeing – mental, career, community, physical and financial.
The week kicked off with guided meditations at our Flemington branch, where participants learned quick breathing exercises aimed at alleviating mental and physical stress. Affinity’s People and Culture team coached attendees through interview tips and resume building skills at our Edison branch. To support community wellbeing, over 50 employees participated in a blood drive with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation at Affinity’s headquarters in Basking Ridge. In Hillsborough, mobile blood pressure screenings were available to all members in partnership with Atlantic Health to promote physical wellbeing.
On Friday, three branch locations hosted credit counseling sessions in partnership with Navicore Solutions, aimed to help members evaluate income, expenses and debts and craft a plan for reaching financial goals. Additionally, members visited the Madison branch on Friday for a book signing with financial wellness expert Jason Vitug, author of “You Only Live Once: The Roadmap to Financial Wellness and a Purposeful Life.”
Member Appreciation Week was also complimented with the opening of the Members of the Year nominations. Nominees are members who give back to their communities, have a firm commitment to making a difference and are dedicated to maintaining their financial wellbeing.
The entire Affinity team is so grateful to our members and appreciate their partnership in our credit union.
