Affinity Federal Credit Union & NEA Federal Credit Union Merger

As of September 1, 2017, Affinity Federal Credit Union and NEA Federal Credit Union have merged to become one of the largest and continually evolving credit unions in the northeast. We are excited to announce this merger, and we warmly welcome all to the Affinity family! This transaction will allow NEA members to be a part of Affinity’s community and, over the next several months, experience the value and benefits of an Affinity membership, including additional products, services, and cutting edge technology. Affinity is committed to providing members of the NEA family with the highest level of service and personal attention. We share a similar culture and values and like NEA, Affinity believes profits should be reinvested to serve the membership in the form of great rates, fewer fees, and friendlier service.

Expanding our footprint to now include New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut allows us to continue building financial strength and more fully serve individuals and businesses in these areas. How will the merger impact all of my accounts?

Can I still use my member number, debit/credit cards, online/mobile banking, fees, and all of the products I have with NEA?

You can continue to bank at your branch, through Telephone Banking (MARS), online, or through the mobile app the same way you have been and expect to see the same employees. For now, your debit card, checks, account number and all other services will continue to work.

Please be assured Affinity and NEA are working very closely to ensure that this transition is as seamless as possible. We will be updating you as changes occur and regular updates will be provided.
