Join us on Thursday, May 26, 2022Dear Affinity Member, The 87th Annual Meeting of the Membership of Affinity Federal Credit Union will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at 73 Mountainview Boulevard, Basking Ridge, NJ. During the business meeting, the election of Directors will take place and results will be announced. The election of Directors will be conducted by mail ballot unless there is only one nominee for each position to be filled. In accordance with the Credit Union bylaws, when the number of nominees equals the number of vacancies, nominees are considered elected by general acclamation. If a mail ballot election is required, ballots will be mailed to eligible members by April 26, 2022. To be eligible to vote, members must have a minimum of $5 in a membership eligibility account, be at least 16 years of age and be a member in good standing as of March 31, 2022. Nominations will not be accepted from the floor at the Annual Meeting. Nominations for election may be made only by the Nominating Committee or by petition. Petitions for nomination must be signed by one percent of the Membership and accompanied by a signed certificate from the petitioner stating that he or she is agreeable to being nominated and will serve if elected. Each petitioner must also submit a statement of qualifications and biographical data with his or her petition. Completed petitions must be received by the Credit Union’s office at 73 Mountainview Boulevard, P.O. Box 621, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920, by midnight April 16, 2022. To be considered for a position on the Board, candidates must possess a strong willingness to serve, plus significant financial, managerial and leadership expertise. Each person must be willing to dedicate much of his or her time and energy to this volunteer position. Credit Union members Roger Tashjian, Inder Singh and Joseph Herbst served on the 2021-2022 Nominating Committee. The Nominating Committee’s primary responsibility is to recommend candidates deemed most qualified to carry out the Credit Union mission. Nominees have been selected from those members who applied in response to the “Call for Volunteers” that went out to all Affinity Members late last year. Nominee selections are based upon demonstrated leadership qualities and their commitment to the goals of the Credit Union. Alayne Gatti, Director Alayne Gatti is the Executive Director, Total Rewards Global Risk and Investments at Comcast NBCUniversal; she has been with Comcast for seven years. Prior to joining Comcast, Alayne worked for Avaya Inc. and Telcordia Technologies (now Ericsson). Alayne attended Lehigh University for undergraduate, and received a B.S. in Business Administration and Economics. She subsequently attended St. John’s University for an M.B.A in Accounting. Alayne joined the Affinity Board in 2019 and has been a long time Affinity credit union member since the 1990s. Alayne and her family reside in New Jersey. Aric Rosenbaum Aric is a technology executive with over 20 years of experience in financial services. He currently serves as Chief Technologist in Red Hat’s financial services practice. Previously, he led large digital transformations in Goldman Sachs’ Investment Management Division and co-founded several FinTechs in the foreign exchange and equities trading spaces. He is Vice-Chair of the Harding Township Board of Adjustment and a former Board Member of the Harding Open Spaces Trust. Aric has a degree in Entrepreneurial Studies from Babson College and lives in Morris County with his wife and two children. Roberto P. Sayers, Director Roberto Sayers currently works at The Division of Pensions and Benefits in the Audit Section as the Plan Administrator of the Defined Benefit & Defined Contribution Plans and the Alternate Benefits Program. He was an officer of the Executive Board/Secretary of the AFL-CIO District 1 CWA Local 1033 until November 2020. Born in Panama, Sayers came to the United States in the early 1980s, where he attended the University of Panama seeking a degree in Business Administration and Accounting; he also worked as an assistant professor of accounting. Roberto joined the Affinity Board in 2019.
